After a seemingly fallow period for birds in the garden, today saw a riot of activity. Maybe it's the changes of weather, this morning being fairly mild and bright. There were the following of note.
- Blackbirds, male and female further stripping the Pyracantha of berries.
- A Robin having mid-air battles with a Dunnock over rights to the fat ball feeder – that's him rather splendidly pictured above.
- A Song thrush also interested in the berries – more on thrushes tomorrow.
- A fat wood pigeon scoffing berries too, pictured below.
